Christy Chapman is the wife of the Pastor of Living Hope Outreach Church, Ed Chapman. Ed and Christy have been married for 28 years and share three beautiful daughters.
Christy has been leading worship for Living Hope since 2008, when Living Hope first began.
In March of 1990, at the age of 19, Christy's life, as she knew it, completely changed. She was baptized with the Holy Ghost and her love affair with Jesus was ignited. She began learning of God's love and was compelled to follow him. She joined the church choir and began worshiping Jesus. Through the years, Christy has taught Sunday School, helped with youth ministry, taught sign language in song, done Bible quizzing, and led Women's Ministry. It was in Women's Ministry, that she was introduced to pottery. "Vessels of Hope Pottery Studio," was created in the fall of 2009.
In the spring of 2008 when Living Hope began, Christy knew that she was called to lead worship for the church. Together with an amazing worship team, they are being used to draw people to the altar to start a new life with Jesus. Christy stands in awe of all that God has done in the last nine years. Many lives have been totally restored in Jesus name.
Christy's vision for the team is to keep serving Jesus and going where ever He leads and to completely surrender to His will; loving the way Jesus loves and never forgetting that it is all Jesus and Him alone.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
